Purpose

This SOP outlines the step-by-step process for creating and publishing blog posts for City Wide Courier on Wix, ensuring SEO optimization and accurate formatting.

Steps to Create and Publish a Blog Post

1. Log In to Wix

  1. Access the Wix dashboard at Wix.
  2. Navigate to All Sites and select City Wide Courier from the client folder.

2. Access the Blog Section

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Blog.
  2. Select Posts to view or create a new post.

3. Content Creation with Writes Feed

a. Generate Blog Content

  1. Log in to Writes Feed (AI writing tool).
  2. Review the monthly word limit to ensure you stay within budget.
  3. Research City Wide Courier’s website to identify relevant keywords.
    • Examples: North Carolina, Charlotte, courier service, medical courier.
  4. Use Writes Feed’s batch article feature to generate up to 10 articles at a time:
    • Enter one keyword per line.
    • Generate articles based on the selected keywords.

b. Manual SEO Research (Optional)

  1. Input a keyword into Writes Feed’s SEO research tool.
  2. Analyze search competition and relevant topics.
  3. Select 2–3 top keywords to include in the article.
  4. Adjust the article outline to 4 subtitles or fewer.

4. Upload Blog Content to Wix

a. Copy and Paste Content

  1. Copy the generated content from Writes Feed.
  2. In Wix, click Create New Post and paste the content as "match text."

b. Format the Content

  1. Correct spacing and ensure consistent formatting:
    • Use bullet points, bold text, and headers (e.g., Header 4) where applicable.
  2. Add images:
    • Right-click and copy images from the generated article.
    • Paste them into the blog post.

c. Insert Tables (if applicable)

  1. If a table is included, copy and paste it into the blog.
  2. Ensure proper spacing and alignment.

5. SEO Optimization

a. Categories

  1. Select categories relevant to the post’s content:
    • Medical Courier Services
    • Parcel Services
    • Courier Services in General

b. Featured Image

  1. Upload a unique feature image to represent the post.
  2. Ensure the image’s alt text matches the primary keyword.

c. Meta Descriptions and Keywords

  1. Add a concise meta description:
    • Example: City Wide Courier provides reliable courier services in North Carolina. Connect today!
  2. Include focus keywords:
    • Example: Courier Service in North Carolina.

d. Verify SEO Settings

  1. Ensure all SEO boxes are checked off in Wix’s blog settings.

6. Publishing the Blog Post

a. Draft Mode

  1. Save the post as a draft.
  2. Notify the supervisor (e.g., Marie) for review.

b. Final Review and Publish

  1. After approval, publish the post and confirm it appears on the blog page.

7. Batch Article Completion

  1. Work through the pre-generated articles in Writes Feed’s Batch Article Creator.
  2. Repeat the formatting, SEO optimization, and publishing process for each article.

  • Weekly Updates: Ensure the blogs are tracked in the Weekly Updates Sheet.
  • Image Changes: Regularly update images for visual variety.
